ABOUT OUR CLUB
UPDATE 03/02/2025:
We have paused new players joining as our sessions are over-subscribed. We invite you to join our waiting list by completing this short form. We are inviting people to join whenever demand eases.

Our club was formed in 2017 when a group of badminton-
playing friends wanted to meet new LGBTQ+ players who shared
a love for the game.
It didn’t take long until we expanded to
playing on more courts, and now we play six days a week.
We currently have 200 members. As well as the regular sessions, we
hold social events ranging from nights out, quizzes,
picnics, trips and the Christmas fancy-dress tournament,
formal dinner and award ceremony.

We host the annual Swifts Cup in Bristol which is amongst the largest
LGBTQ+ badminton tournaments in Europe, bringing together
over 250 LGBTQ+ players from the UK, Europe and Asia to compete
for medals in singles and doubles competitions across many
different ability levels.

We take part in mini-tournaments against other LGBTQ+ badminton groups.
We brought home 4 medals from the Gay Games in Hong Kong 2023
and we will send a squad to the 2025 EuroGames in Lyon
and to the 2026 Gay Games in Valencia.

The club also plays in the Avon Badminton League.
